Can Ekici

  Can Ekici is a rock/heavy metal drummer who was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Since his childhood years, he’s been living in Turkey. He started to show interest in drumming during his high school years. In 2003, while studying at the mechanical engineering department in Ankara, he started playing in heavy metal cover bands. He performed in many university fests and bar stages with his bands. In addition to heavy metal, he also played in a wide range of bands from pop-rock to thrash metal. He moved to Istanbul in 2011, established his own performance studio, where he played for a while as an independent drummer. Can Ekici, who completed his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, can also modify, maintain and repair acoustic and electronic drums. He can record albums using electronic drums, and do drum mixing and mastering of drum records. He shares his works on his social media accounts. Currently, he plays in the solo project of Taylan Ayık, former guitar/vocalist of heavy metal band Diken.
