At the beginning he studied drum technique with Professor Geminiani, percussionist in symphony orchestra of Genova, then with Professor Bruno Torre who held the chair in percussion instruments at Conservatorio N.Paganini of Genova. He was involved, twenty years old, in several jazz workshops where he obtained grants showing also composition’s ability. Then he was involved in several stages with Dave Garibaldi e John Riley. He played a few years different kinds of music then he chose jazz music, in big band and in different groups. He played with Franco Cerri, Riccardo Zegna, Luigi Bonafede, Dado Moroni, Andrea Pozza, Roberto Tarenzi, Antonio Zambrini, Nando De Luca, Flavio Boltro, Sante Palumbo, Lino Patruno, Romano Mussolini, Tony Scott, Glauco Masetti, Paul Jeffrey, Marco Panascìa, Rosario Bonaccorso, Luigi Tomelleri, Tiziana Ghiglioni, Patrizia Conte, Laura Fedele, Alice Ricciardi, Gigi Cifarelli, Sandro Gibellini, Riccardo Bianchi, Luca Meneghello. He was also involved in a classic-jazz orchestra, the Blue Baroque Ensemble and at several editions of Percfest, a percussion’s international festival in memory of the great percussionist Naco, close friend and fellow student. He is also composer and drum’s teacher.
