Born on June 12th, 1990, takes his first steps around the drumset at the age of 2 and starts having private drum lessons at the age of 3. In 1998, at the age of 8, starts his percussion studies at the Music Conservatory of Porto. From 2005 to 2008, he went to the Professional Music School of Espinho to continue his music studies in a more intensive fashion. In 2008, he’s admitted to the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts in Porto for his college studies. After that, in 2016, he also began his Master’s studies in the same college, which he concluded in 2019 with the thesis “Drumset Studies as a Complement in the Percussionist’s Tranining”.

From this academic training period to the present day he also took part in various musical contexts, having worked with some of the most important portuguese orchestras like Sinfónica do Porto/Casa da Música, Gulbenkian, Norte, Sinfonieta, Sinfónica Portuguesa, chamber music groups such as Drumming – Grupo de Percussão, session musician both live and in the studio with a great variety of projects from different musical departments, with tours around Europe, North America and Middle-East. Some of these projects were The Weatherman, Heavenwood, Crisix, Bloodhunter, Oblique Rain, Sleeping Pulse, The Ominous Circle, Colosso, Axia, Belavista 22, Kandia, Dementia 13, Agónica, Painted Black, Nebulous, GayaQuintet, Hertz Kankarok, among many others, with over two dozens of albums released. He currently plays with Expensive Soul, Piruka, GUGA, Sullen, Rei Bruxo, Protest and Survive, Pinturas Negras, The Hits Collective, Prickly Pear and Street Gospel Choir.

He took part in various workshops and masterclasses regarding drumset, percussion and artistic career management, as well as some national drumset and percussion contests. He worked as a musician in theater plays such as “Madalena”, produced by Ensemble – Sociedade de Atores, and later on the musical “Surpreendente Fábrica do Chocolate”, produced by AM. He also lectured various drumset masterclasses regarding performance and pedagogy in different contexts, among them Talentus Academy, Music Conservatory of Porto, Music Conservatory of Paredes, Music School of Gueifães Martial Band, Music Academy of Castelo de Paiva, Metropol Studios (Madrid) and Catholic University of Porto (this last one being in the context of “Journeys of Specialized Artistic Teaching in Music”).

He gives private drum lessons at his home studio and also teaches at Salesianos of Porto, a private drum school.
